Marc Patterson (aka Dawa Chöga) holds a BA in Creative Nonfiction and English Literature from the University of Southern New Hampshire. His short stories and essays have appeared in Words & Images (University of Southern Maine Press), and Haunted Maine (Macabre Maine Press), The Monadnock Conservancy Quarterly, and elsewhere.
He is a buddhist in the Tibetan/Shambhala lineage, a poetry writing dharma bum, a freelance writer, profuse traveler, avid outdoorsman, and voracious reader. He’s passionate about social activism, especially in the areas of education and the environment.
Currently, Marc is crafting a series of essays under the working title “The Wilderness is Home” as well as completing a book of poetry, “Tangled Trees, Clear Mind.”
